NM Consultings never asks a candidate for money, not for registration, not for placement, not at any stage. If someone requests payment in our name, it is fraud.

What we will never do

  • Ask you to pay a registration, processing, security or placement fee.
  • Ask you to pay for a visa, training, equipment or a background check.
  • Ask for your bank account password, card number, OTP or UPI PIN.
  • Send an offer letter before you have interviewed with the employer.
  • Conduct an entire hiring process over WhatsApp or Telegram alone.
  • Contact you from a free email address such as Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook.

How to verify a genuine approach

Genuine communication from NM comes from an address ending in @nmconsultings.com, and our consultants will always identify themselves by name and give you a role reference.

  • Check the sender's email domain carefully, fraudsters use close look-alikes with an extra or missing letter.
  • Call our published number, +91 80977 43440, and ask whether the person and the role are genuine. Do not use a number supplied in the suspicious message.
  • Email business@nmconsultings.com with the details and we will confirm or deny it.
  • Ask for the job reference number and check it against the listing on this website.

Warning signs

  • Pressure to pay or decide quickly, especially outside working hours.
  • An offer that is significantly above market for the role and your experience.
  • Poor spelling, grammar or inconsistent branding in the communication.
  • A request to move the conversation to a personal messaging app immediately.
  • Payment requested to a personal bank account or a UPI ID rather than a company account.
  • Refusal to arrange a call or a video interview with a named person.

If you have been contacted

Do not pay anything and do not share financial or identity documents. Keep the messages, email headers, phone numbers and any payment details you were given. They are what makes a report actionable.

Report it to us at business@nmconsultings.com with as much detail as you can. We investigate every report and act on it, including reporting to the relevant authorities and platforms.

If you have already paid

Contact your bank immediately and ask them to attempt a recall on the transaction, speed matters considerably here.

Report the incident to the Indian National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in, or call the national cybercrime helpline on 1930. You can also file a complaint at your local police station.
