Marketing, technology and AI hiring
These three functions account for most of what we place, in India and for employers abroad. They cut across every sector, which is why they sit alongside our industry practices rather than inside one.
Marketing & Growth Recruitment

Twelve sectors. Twelve different markets.
Each practice is run by consultants who recruit in that market every week, so the salary bands and the shortlists come from current mandates rather than a database.

Permanent recruitment is charged as a percentage of the candidate's annual fixed compensation, payable on joining, with a replacement guarantee. Executive search and turnkey programmes are retained. RPO is a fixed monthly fee. Staffing is billed monthly on a rate card. Terms are always confirmed in writing before work begins.
Yes. Every permanent placement carries an agreed replacement period during which we re-run the search at no additional professional fee if the candidate leaves or is exited. The specific period is set out in the engagement letter.
Not for permanent recruitment, which can be contingent. Executive search and turnkey programmes are retained and therefore exclusive, because they involve committed research effort before any candidate is presented.
The job description, the realistic compensation range, the interview process and decision-makers, and a thirty-minute conversation with whoever the role reports to. That last item is the one that most improves shortlist quality.
Yes, and it is a common starting point. We will usually want to revisit the brief before starting, because a role that has been open for months is frequently a brief problem rather than a market problem.
Candidate profiles are shared only with explicit consent for a specific role, and candidates are always told which company their details are going to. We do not circulate CVs speculatively.
No. NM never charges candidates for registration, placement or any part of the recruitment process. Our fees are paid by employers. If anyone contacts you asking for payment in NM's name, please report it. See our fraud alert page.
Your profile is reviewed by the consultant covering your function and added to our talent network. If there is a live role that matches, you will hear from us directly. If not, your profile stays on file and is reviewed against new mandates as they open.
No. We never share your profile with any employer without your explicit consent for that specific role, and we will always tell you the company name before sending your details anywhere.
It varies by role and employer, but a typical process runs three to six weeks from first conversation to offer. We will give you the expected timeline and the number of stages at the outset, and tell you honestly if it slips.
Yes. Before every client interview we brief you on the interviewers, the format, what they are assessing and the questions they typically ask. We also give you feedback after each stage, whether or not you progress.
Our core coverage is India. We do support international mandates for clients with operations abroad, and these are listed on our jobs page where they exist.
Whichever side of the table you are on.
